About Project

The SMILES project works to support schools and educational settings to be healthy and inclusive environments in which children learn critical skills to strengthen their emotional and mental well-being.

The project is based on the key role that schools can play in mental health care, detecting symptoms early, promoting healthy lifestyles among students and training them in intra- and interpersonal skills. It will help to ensure that teachers, schools and communities are supported and better equipped to respond to the emotional and mental wellbeing needs of their students and create inclusive learning.

As key players in promoting mental health and well-being in schools Project will prioritize teacher training in the promotion of mental health and wellbeing. Second, by improving the emotional education that students receive in the school environment. Thirdly by involving parents, as they should be aware of the importance of an emotional education for their children, where they are primarily responsible
